As you know, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are going to be dangerously cold, with windchill as low as negative 20 degrees!
The Winter Shelter at Shelterhouse (411 Gest) will be open additional hours each of these days. They will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7PM to 8AM each day.
There will be two primary warming centers open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10AM to 6PM at the Over-the-Rhine Rec Center (1715 Republic- enter from Race) and the Corryville Rec Center (2823 Eden Ave).
Thank you to all the folks that are keeping shelter and warming centers open.

Recent reports have put Cincinnati rent raises at the very top in the nation.
“We’re looking at (overall) rents that more than half of the city cannot afford,” said Josh Spring, executive director at the Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless, referring to the Redfin report.
Bad public policy, generations of racist ideologies, and profit-generating housing models are impacting all Cincinnatians, but especially people who have the least income and the least community support.

The 30-Day Challenge is an interactive way to help raise awareness and money to help those in need in our community. This project provides 30 days worth of journaling, reading assignments and small donations. Participants engage in a small awareness-raising activity every day for 30 days.
The 30 Day Challenge is an easy way for people to get involved and to be educated about the realities of homelessness. Just print the challenge, encourage others to participate with you and then simply mail in your donations for the 30 days to 113 E 12th Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202.
